• 4 Reasons to Keep Exercising this Winter

Now that it is the middle of winter,  many of us may find a spot on the couch by the fire, more tempting than getting out to exercise. Keeping up your routine is even more important in winter.

Boost your immune system

Exercising improves blood circulation, which allows cells of your immune system to move through your body freely. In this way, maintaining regular exercise can be even more beneficial during the flu season. Stay healthy to not get sick! You can read more about that here.

Now that it is getting colder in Melbourne, many of you may find a spot on the couch by the fire, more tempting than getting out to class. Keeping up your dance and exercise routine is even more important in winter.

Feel good

Everyone is familiar with the winter blues. But with regular exercise, you don’t have to be. We all know that post exercise rush from our favourite class. When we exercise our body releases endorphins, serotonin and dopamine, which naturally reduce stress levels and leave us feeling great.

Keep reaching those goals

Many of my students find it easier to work over summer, but don’t let the weather detract from everything you have achieved towards your goals. So often, I hear students complaining that they have lost fitness and skill after a break. It is quicker to rebuild this when you have the foundation, but even better if you keep progressing throughout the year.

Do what you love

Finally, do exercise you love! For me, exercise is my passion, I could not live without it. This winter I have been having fun Rebounding, dancing and working my heart rate in Body Attack classes.
