• Melbourne Fashion - 2019 Winter Trends - Metallics

One thing I have been loving this winter is metallics. Dull weather does not have to equal dark fashion. Instead, it has been fun to add a touch of sparkle to my style this season. Here are some of the styles I have been loving from our local designers.

Scanlan Theodore

Was $350, now $245

This top by Scanlan Theodore just screams style and fun. I’m loving the ruched sleeves, metallic pin stripe and deep narrow V-neck. This top screams ‘party’ while still being practical enough for everyday. The loose hem makes this perfect pairing with high-waisted skirts and jeans.

Diida

Electra Mini Drape Dress
$599

I fell in love with this dress as soon as I tried it on. Diida dresses are a bit hit-and-miss for my body shape. With a fitness instructor’s thighs and a smaller waist, many of their dresses are made for more boyish figures, but this one fitted a treat. The low back and draping fabric give a sexy elegance. The fabric simply glows. The photo of this one just doesn’t do it justice.

Kiki Knot Body Suit
Was $249, now $174.30
I’m usually not a fan of body suits, but this one is super comfy and has adjustable straps so that it fits me perfectly. I love pairing it with a silk blouse over the top and black high waisted skinny jeans, or a high-waisted black skirt. This bodysuit takes lingerie into the everyday. Another Diida favourite that is designed and made in Melbourne.

Dominique Healy

Bella Jumper - Metallic Tweed
$269

Dominique Healy is currently one of my favourite local brands. Not only are her styles super beautiful, but they are made in Melbourne – give that woman some love! I also adore that she uses so much silk in every collection (my favourite fabric). This jumper was a winner for me. Being warm doesn’t mean you have to be dowdy – and this metallic tweed proves it. Love the colour and the sparkle.
