Thai Ayothaya may look like your basic cheap and cheerful. Overlooking Church Street with a small kitchen out the back, you may think this is the place for a quick feed. But it is more than just easy take-away.
Linger for a while, order a few dishes to share, enjoy the hospitality and grin at the authentic flavours.
The food is flavoursome, nothing complicated nor pretentious here, just good curries, noodles and stir-fries made efficiently and fresh.
The roti is delightful, hot, crispy and served with a flavourful satay sauce.
I also love the Phad Thai and the here curries too.
Whilst it is nothing fancy, the food is consistently tasty and fresh. The service is always polite and accommodating. And I keep going back here whenever I crave Thai flavours.
