Taking Over St Kilda Beach this Summer
Watch out St Kilda, the first beach bed cinema club, Mov’in Bed, is taking over. 150 comfy beds, premium pillows, cozy blankets, the latest titles (like The Joker and Last Christmas) and your classic faves (like Pulp Fiction and Dirty Dancing) – this is where you’ll want to be this summer.
Open from 4 January to 23 February 2020, the Mov’in Bed brings comfort and luxury to your summer movie sessions. Start with pre-drinks from 5pm to 8pm as you watch the sunset. Then order food straight to your bed during the film.
"It has been truly exciting to work hand in hand with St Kilda's Council to create the first outdoor beach bed cinema in the world and bringing the European concept of sipping on a cocktail at the beach," said Hernandez.
"It was a massive challenge to implement such an ambitious project and overtaking major technical issues to create an exciting beach concept for our first time in Melbourne in one of the most exciting venues in Australia."
Tickets start at $9, and can be booked online.
