• Full Steam Cafe (Windsor)

Opened only weeks ago, Full Steam Cafe, is welcome addition to the High Street Windsor locale. With calming green and white tones, four seating areas, a resident Frenchie puppy, and a select menu of fresh and inspired cuisine – this is the perfect spot for your morning coffee over the paper, or a casual brunch with friends.

I had been invited with Jess from Unbeleafable.

The menu includes usual faves like smashed avo, chia pudding and bowls of healthy goodness. I opted for the halloumi salad with falafel, and Jess for the ‘Crisp it Up’ salad.

The halloumi salad was refreshing with rocket, slices of pear, pomegranate, candied walnuts and a tangy passionfruit dressing. The falafels were freshly made, crisp on the outside, light inside and salty – a much loved recipe by the sibling owners’ mum.  These were served with an innovative charcoal tahini.

Very refreshing halloumi salad at this new Windsor cafe.

The Crisp It Up was made with pickled red onion, watercress, mint, cherry tomatoes and falafel to make it vegan. A swoosh of turmeric hummus decorated the sides.

Juice lovers will be pleased with the freshly squeezed OJ, Steamy Greens, Windsor and FS Cleanse.
The Windsor is for those with a sweet tooth: watermelon, apple, strawberries and mint.

Look out for the café’s mascot, puppy Nigel, who features on the menu and sometimes comes down to the courtyard for a play if requested.
