New and so hot right now, Zita’s Focaccia welcomes queues of those in the know every lunch time.
I ordered the Zita’s Focaccia. This is filled with plenty of tomato sugo. Pesto is dolloped on top, falling through the dips and cracks of the crisp, freshly toasted bread. The eggplant is well-cooked, salted and crumbed. Totally delicious. I can understand the queues now.
They don’t serve coffee, but there is a full list of cocktails and soft drinks to enjoy inside, or under the bright yellow and white umbrellas on the footpath.
They still seem to be sorting out their ordering processes at busy times. But despite the staff seeming to be a little stressed, busy and confused, everyone was very friendly and service was quick.
These focaccias are the things dreams are made of.
