Wine and music, what’s not to love? Ericka Argiris opened the Murrumbeena wine bar with two goals: good wine, and great music.
In the heart of Murrumbeena, Murrumbeena Wine Bar caters to locals who no longer have to travel far to enjoy great live music and drinks. With an all-female local line-up, Argiris believed it was important to put talented local women in the spotlight.
“Each artists has their unique sound, even when they play covers, and that’s why I encourage them to play their own music too.” Says Argiris.
Abbey Williams, now a regular performer at Murrumbeena Wine Bar, performs smooth jazz with her 50s-style microphone every Sunday afternoon. Mia Pisano joined the line-up with acoustic folk playing covers, as well as her own creations. Aimee Francis is gifts customers with her soulful blues voice. Ruby Mae was one of Murrumbeena Wine Bar’s first artists and occasionally makes a reappearance with her unique blend of rock, folk and punk fusion.
