There are certain places that you look forward to going again and again, and for me, this is one of them. Set in the historic town of Queenscliff, 360Q is named after the lookout above. Whilst not on the top level, the restaurant also gives a view, up close and at the same level, of the bobbing boats of the marina.
The food is good. The vibe is good (especially on the water side). And this venue also runs events (from food focused to charity fundraisers) often.
My first every visit to 360, I tried the smoked corn ravioli. It was delicious, and so different with the smoked corn put into pasta. More recently, they are serving roasted red capsicum and ricotta gnocchi. There is always a vegetarian option on the menu. It is usually a pasta or a curry, and to date I have been more impressed with their pastas than the latter.
The roasted capsicum gnocchi was deliciously soft with gorgeous flavours of the capsicum coming through with the subtly of the ricotta. It was served with a Napoli sauce and parmesan.
It is hard to resist the chunky fries – crispy and served with aioli.
The wine list boasts many local wineries. I love the oaked but balanced Jack and Jill Chardonnay. There is also a range of local beers.
Desserts are a standout with interesting flavours and beautiful presentation. The coconut, lime and ginger brulee is tangy but creamy and smooth. The white chocolate mousse is sweet and pretty.
More and more fabulous restaurants are popping up along the Bellarine, but this is still my go-to.
