LOVE, opens 1 December at the Melbourne Immigration Museum. This collaboration between Museums Victoria and Heide Museum of Modern Art, explores human connections across time, gender, orientation, ethnicity, age, and distance; celebrating communities and our shared humanity.
The exhibition will include LOVE stories across many media, with Melbourne performance artists The Huxleys in their glitter-bound romance (pictured below); the love for absent children by Mirka Mora; the Cypriot bride, and many more.
I witnessed a similar exhibition in Zagreb, at the Museum of Broken relationships. I left touched and uplifted and laughing. Whilst that focused on momentos from broken hearts, LOVE will be a celebration of human connections in all forms.
