There is nothing sheepish about this local hang-out. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon for a late breakfast. The place was buzzing with a diverse crowd socialising and reading the paper as they drank the ‘oh too good’ coffee.

A converted warehouse, Three Bags Full has a funky layout and an atmosphere to match.

The coffee is great. There are too many bad coffee houses in Melbourne and I always revel at the finding of a good one. The blend they use tastes slightly malty. My coffee was made well, though perhaps the milk was a little too bubbly.

Try the cauliflower fritters: cauliflower, potatoes and fennel fritters with minted yoghurt, melted haloumi and kasundi.

The omlette with yoghurt and avocado, spices and Turkish bread is tasty. The Turkish pide with pumpkin, fetta and pesto is also good.

I have not yet tried the smashed avocado and fetta nor the ricotta hotcakes, but both look mouth-wateringly good when I see them served and enjoyed by other customers.
